Hello, this is my blog that i’m going to use as a journal of my quest to complete the Men’s Health Magazine Belly Off 2008 program.  So a little about myself, I am a kinesiology graduate and am currently compleating my Master’s degree.  I am doing this BO2008 program because i need some structure to getting myself back into shape, My education revolves around health and fitness however i find myslef giving out health information more than i use it myself.  Its time i practice what i preach.  I was always a bigger person but always very active, lots of high caliber sports and exercise.  I was even the captian of my University wrestling team.  Eating is my weakness. I have fallen off the health wagon hard.  I let injury, lack of motivation and mabe even a little bit of depression get to me and now i find myself far away from my fitness goals.  I am starting BO2008 on 29/01/2008.  my starting weight is 320 lbs.  My goals are to get down to 240 lbs and drastically improve my body composition.  I am doing this program for many reasons.  first to get back into shape,  i dont feel good, i know i need to lose the weight, i still have a competitive side to me and i want to compete in wrestling again, in order to do that i need to get my weight under control.  My master’s thesis is on childhood obesity and physical activity, i feel silly standing up infront of people to discuss this topic while i myself am obese.  and mabe most importantly recently my girlfriend and i have been talking about life and our future, i want to be healthy for that future, i want there to be a long future, and when i do have kids i want to be a good role model and be able to enjoy them as much as possible without restrictions due to health problems caused by being overweight.  So there it is, i will post updates regularly and hopefully get some progress pics up soon too.
